RE-CONNECT & HEAL

‘In nature we can find our truth’

We gather ‘in circle’ each month in the woods to acknowledge and explore the changing of the seasons, and how that energy is reflected within us.

Spending time in the tranquil and secluded Deer Wood will give you the opportunity to slow down and de-stress. Allowing you to recognise what YOU need right now. What part of your life needs your attention, what behaviour’s or patterns may need to change?

Laura will help you to notice the signs and gently guide you. She is a registered art therapist and certified Circle of Trees specialist practitioner, whose practice is rooted in environmental arts therapy.

This group is for anyone that feels they could benefit from:

A reconnection with nature,

A deeper understanding of self and the natural environment,

Strengthening intuition and self-beliefs,

Reigniting creativity,

The chance to let go, heal and discover.

What to Expect

The Circle of Trees is a monthly outdoor wellbeing group which meets on a Thursday morning.  It is led by myself, an art psychotherapist with over 15 years experience of therapy practice.

The group is for a maximum of 8 people, which includes regular participants and others who join as a drop in session.

You will be met and led to the wellbeing area in The Deer Wood trust where we gather in circle to begin the morning with a grounding exercise.   This will allow you time to bring your awareness to where natures energy lies at this point in the cycle and at this point the theme of the month will be introduced.  There will be time for sharing and discussion before you will be invited to explore the woods through creation.  The practices will ask you to tune into your intuition, noticing what you are drawn too amongst the trees and what these natural objects symbolise for you.   There will then be an opportunity to share your discoveries with the group, gently guided by myself, witnessing each other’s process.

The group is a time for you to reflect, explore feelings, thoughts and/or patterns of behaviour that arise for you while you are in the woods and express them in a safe containing space with like minded people.    It is a time to take note of how ‘nature is a mirror’ therefore deepening our connection to the natural world surrounding us and the lessons it brings.

“I most appreciate the feeling of freedom when I’m in the wood it’s opening and healing and I can breathe, the group is very supportive where I feel safe to share.”
